Department of Humanities
It was originally one of The Faculty of General Education. In 2006, it was extracted out of the Faculty of General Education and became the Department of Humanities of the Faculty of Sciences and Liberal Arts. The Department of Humanities provides courses (Thai and English courses) for both diploma and bachelor’s degree students of four main faculties. They are 1) The Faculty of Sciences and Liberal Arts, 2)The Faculty of Business Administration, 3)The Faculty of the Arts and Industrial Design, and 4) The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. At present, the Department of Humanities is running a B.A program called English for International Communication and it has been producing students for ten years.
Main Task
Provides courses (Thai and English courses) for in both diploma and bachelor’s degree students of 1) The Faculty of Sciences and Liberal Arts, 2)The Faculty of Business Administration, 3)The Faculty of the Arts and Industrial Design, and 4) The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.

Vision
We provide Humanities program and course aim at improving professional workers in English for International communication field at the international standard by conducting our process equipped with the rules of good governance to create more research, innovation, and public services to the society as well as maintaining religions, culture and environment.
Missions
1. Manage the Humanities program and course to develop students equipped with moral and qualified performance in using Thai and foreign languages
2. Produce the qualified morality students’ expertise in English for communication in the international standard.
3. Develop more valuable research, artifact, and innovation.
4. Provide academic service to the public to respond to the public requirement.
5. Maintain religions, culture, and environment.
6. Administrate the course with the rules of good governance and promote the quality of life for all staff.
Objectives
1. Provide fundamental Thai and English courses for supporting all students in RMUTI.
2. Produce qualified workers with morality in English for International Communication field to respond to the local public in the north-east, the country, and other countries.
3. Provide academic service to the public both in Thai and English.
4. Develop more valuable research, artifact, and innovation both in Thai and English.
5. Maintain religions, culture, and environment.
6. Promote quality development and educational standard continuously.
